Guide on Federal Grants for Nonprofit Organizations


According to the OMB, an estimated $500 billion in grants will be allocated to state and local governments in 2009, for programs including housing, community development, education, transportation and environmental protection.

Congressman Jim Moran’s office has a guide on how non-profits can take advantage of federal funding, background on federal ratings and rankings to help them maximize proposals and how to apply for funding at both the state and federal level. This guide is intended to help sort through the maze of federal opportunities and requirements to help nonprofits find additional resources to carry out their mission.
