AED Welcomes New Director of Real Estate Development Group


AED Welcomes New Director of Real Estate Development Group Marc D. McCauley has accepted the position of Real Estate Development Group (REDG) Director at Arlington Economic Development (AED).

As Director of REDG, Mr. McCauley will lead the group's efforts to catalyze the private and public sectors to fulfill the economic and physical development potential of Arlington. As part of AED, REDG supports County-wide planning functions, provides development project management, planning support, and economic and development feasibility analyses for projects. The REDG team regularly facilitates public-private partnerships involving County land or money, partners with private developers on projects, meets with local, regional, national or international developers looking at potential projects in Arlington and tracks commercial projects.

Prior to joining the AED leadership team, Mr. McCauley was employed at Robert Charles Lesser & Co. (RCLO) in Bethesda, MD as a senior director with expertise in development strategy and optimization; market and financial feasibility analyses and land use.

Mr. McCauley is on the faculty at Georgetown University in the Masters of Professional Studies in Real Estate. He graduated from Emory University in Atlanta with a B.A. in Political Science, and received his Masters of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Pittsburgh.
